George Christensen was working on the Samuel Sweeney Pond farm in Menard County, IL, at the time he met Hattie. The Pond family moved to Salt Lake City, UT, sometime between 1880 and 1900. I have not found evidence to prove where George and Hattie were between that time except a draft registration for their youngest son, William Earl indicating he was born 1890 in Gillespie, Macoupin, IL.
I know the family proved land in MS some time but the sons were not interested in farming and found other means of making a living. Moore was a salesman for Libbys and Earl worked with steel. The family moved to Arkansas to farm and their daughter Bertie Parsons and family were with them. George died in Arkansas. Hattie was living with Moore in Memphis when she died.
