Rasmus was born about 1762.

Rasmus and his family appear in the 1801 Census of Funder, Denmark. According to that census, Rasmus was 37 years old and a farmer, living on a farm. The census points to a birth date of about 1763 to 1764.

Rasmus Christensen died in the town of Funder, Funder Parish, Hids District, Viborg County, Denmark on 24 January 1828, and he was buried in the Funder Paris Cemetery at Funder on 30 January 1828.^[1] According to the parish register, he was an aftægtsmand, aged 65 years, 5 months, and 2 days. This would place his birth on 22 August 1762.
