John, the oldest son of David Morrison and Ann Scott Christie, was born 1 May 1844 in Rochester, New York. At one time he lived at the home of John D. Scott at Winneconne, Wisconsin. He was a brakeman on the Milwaukee Road [Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railroad]. While his father was in Scotland, he died on 11 July 1897. His death was due to accidentally jumping off a box car into a switch.
