10 years later in 1891 at the age of 19, he continued to live with his mother, Agnes Johnson, in his uncle's (Samuel Johnson) household. He was a farmer.

He married Elizabeth Moore on 1 February 1893, at the Methodist Church in Inverness. Together, the couple had 3 children.

According to the 1901 Census, he was a farmer living with his wife, Elizabeth, and two children Andrew W and Agnes.

After his first wife passed, he married Mary Orr (Watson) Christie (1871-1958), on 14 Sept 1910 in St Johnsbury, Caledonia, Vermont, USA. At the time, Andrew was a Mine foreman.

Later, the couple lived together at 78 Alfred street in Thetford Mines.
In 1911, at the age of 39, he was living in Thetford Mines with his wife, Mary and son, Willard.

In 1921, at the age of 49, he continued to live in Thetford Mines. He was living on Alfred St, with his wife, Mary, daughter, Ethel and son, Willard.

Later, Marion (Christie) Roy lived with them at 212 Alfred St. while she went to high school, in Thetford Mines.

He passed away 28 November 1947 and was buried 2 December 1947 in Christ Church Cemetery, Saint-Jean-de-Brebeuf, Chaudiere-Appalaches Region, Quebec, Canada.
