William Churchill is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A021964.
William Churchill was born at Newington Parish, Connecticut in 1732.[1] He was the son of Samuel Churchill and Martha Boardman.
He married Ruth Tyron 25 September 1760 ar Farmington...[2]
After Ruth's death, he married Abiah Hobart, widow of Jonathan Wildman about 1777. They also had several children.
He lived in Farmington, Conn. until about 1769, when he removed with the large numbers who settled in Wyoming Valley, Pennsylvania. He was there with his family at the time of massacre in 1778, but escaped and reached what is now Elmira, N.Y., and thence to New Jersey, Massachusetts and there made their home. They later returned to their home in Connecticut.
