William was a Lieut. in the Revolutionary War
He married Eunice Culver, daughter of Zebulon and Eleanor (Taylor) Culver in 1787 - children included Russell, Clarissa, Pamelia, Darius, William J., Julius, James and Sarah Marie Churchill
He is buried at Shutes Cemetery, Champlain, Clinton, New York, USA
