Sarah (known as Sadie and Sallie) was born in Pennsylvania about 1877. She is the daughter of James Cark and Alice Hannigan. Since her family lived in Philadelphia from 1873 onwards, assume she was born in that city.
Her name and year of birth appear in the 1880 census, living with her family in a duplex at 1248 Fisher St, Phil, PA. In 1889 through at least 1891, the Clark family lived at 2543 Fisher St. A brother died in 1889, followed by her mother in 1891, then 2 months later, her youngest brother; all while living on Fisher St. All three were buried in a shared grave in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in Philadelphia. Her father moved the family to 2521 Emerald St., Phil, which is where he was living when he died in 1898. His remains were added to the family grave at St. Anne's.
In 1900 she and her younger sister Alice lived with their older married sister, Bella and her husband William Elfrey, at 256 Elkhart in Philadelphia.
She married Francis "Frank" H. Lynch about 1905. Sallie's marriage date is approximated per the 1910 census. Can't find a record of it. Her husband's name was found on 2 of her children's death certificates. One death certificate said he was born in Philadelphia. His middle initial also may have been X. or K.
On May 16, 1907 a daughter, Frances, died at (premature) birth. They were living at 1102 State St., Phil., PA at the time. The baby was buried at West Laurel Hill Cemetery at 215 Belmont Ave, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery Co., PA. (It's on this record that Frank's middle initial looks like it could be an X but FamilySearch.org transcribed it as a K.)[1]
On Feb 28, 1910, another daughter, Margaret, born June 7, 1908, died of pneumonia in the West Philadelphia Hospital for Women. They were living at 1103 State St. at the time. (This was the home of her brother John Clark and his wife, Nellie.) The child was buried on March 3rd at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in SW Philadephia.[2]
When the 1910 census was taken on Apr. 25th, 2 months after her 2nd daughter's death, Sallie was still living with her brother and sister-in-law on State St. and was working as an Operator in a Shirtwaist business. Census said she'd been married 5 years by then and had had two children, one who'd survived. (Don't know why they didn't report both children's deaths.) Her husband and surviving child (if there was one) weren't living with her or anywhere nearby.
I cannot find Sallie in any censuses beyond 1910. She may have remarried and changed her name before 1920.

Several Frank Lynches listed in the 1903 directory.
Found "Lynch, Sarah A., widow of Francis J" in the 1914 Phil, PA directory. Living at 1309 Silver.
