Daniel was a Captain with the Connecticut Militia. He commanded a Company which turned out to repel the enemy at New Haven in 1779. Per D.A.R. Lineage Books. 2. "Capt. Daniel Lankton, 15th Connecticut Militia Regiment." Per Connecticut Men in the Revolutionary War.

• Message from wikitree: "It's unusual for a mother's birth date (Clark-14346 born 9 Nov 1737) to be more than 55 years before the birth date of one of her children (Langdon-657 born 1800)."
