Research Notes

The dates on Micajah's FindAGrave memorial differ from those on the DAR applications of his descendants. The original gravestone is broken; there are three pieces remaining. From the photos, it is not possible to determine dates.

In some sources, the year of Micajah's birth is given as 1758, but this may be a mix-up based on uncertainty when the switchover from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar occurred in the Colonies (it was 1752).
