DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Eight years after the flurry of work below (2014) have we resolved with certainty the identity and movements of this man and his family group?

Did they in fact move from Plymouth to Boston and then to Lyme? Is he certainly the son of Thomas by Susannah Ring?

Yes, I agree there are two different John Clark's on this page. This page shows he had 5 wives (many at the same time) and the notes and the sources conflict bwtn the two John Clarks. Maybe I just don't understand how Wikitree works, but between this site and Ancestry trees, there is seemingly wrong information being applied to the numerous John Clark's.

Christine: Apparently 2 different John Clarks. See this link for more if you have an NEHGS membership: http://www.americanancestors.org/pilgrim-families-thomas-clark/

Regarding John, son of Thomas Clarke & Susanna Ring, it says: "John was born about 1640. He married Sarah _____ by 1668 and had eight children. He died in Lyme, Connecticut in March 1719."

Question about Clarke-79 John Clark b. abt 1640. I don't see a connection to Thomas Clark/Susanna Ring?

Could it be this John Clark is the son of John Clark of New Haven who died 1648. He married the daughter, Sarah, of his neighbor, George Smith and then when she died, he married Mary Walker, again of New Haven? Again, all kids born in CT, also keep seeing that he died in Lyme, but records show John Clark age 82 or 87 (cannot tell) he died in New Haven/West Haven in Mar 23, 1719 wth offshoots to Middletown
