Ruth Clark was born February 15, 1765, in Plainfield, Windham County, Connecticut Colony, to parents Daniel and Anne Clark.[1][2]
Ruth Clark was one of six children of Daniel and "Anane" Clark who were baptized in Plainfield, Connecticut, on 2 September 1770.[3]
Research Notes
POSSIBLE MARRIAGE (Unconfirmed): Ruth Clark of Plainfield was married to Abel Cleavland of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, by Joel Benedict, Pastor on January 6, 1785, in Plainfield.[4]
Find A Grave Memorial #65619059 for Ruth Clark Cleveland, wife of Abel, gives birth date of January 17, 1765. There are no birth records for Ruth Clark in Plainfield for that date, but "our" Ruth's birth date of February 15, 1765 is reasonably close. I believe it probable that the two Ruths are one and the same, but additional evidence would be welcome.[5]
