Benjamin was born in April 1694 in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. He was recorded as the son of Benjamin Clarke and Mary Clarke (i.e., his father's first wife, Mercy). [1]
He was married to Sarah Gates of Preston, Connecticut. The marriage is not recorded, but is estimated to have been in about 1717, based on the subsequent birth dates of their children. Several children of Benjamin Clark were recorded in Preston:
Benjamin Clark died before 1 May 1765 in Plainfield, Connecticut. The estate of Benjamin Clark was filed for probate in Plainfield, Connecticut, in 1765. A receipt signed by Ebenezer and Marcy Lyon on 1 May 1765 mentions his will, but the will is not contained in the probate record. Survivors mentioned in the distribution of the estate included Benjamin's widow Sarah Clark, grandson Stephan Clark (identified as one of the executors), and Ebenezer Lyon and Marcy Lyon, who apparently were his son-in-law and daughter, respectively. The property to be included in the widow's third was set out in a document dated 25 August 1766.[4]

Clark-7002 and Clarke-10582 appear to represent the same person because: I recognize this family group.
Clarke is the name on his birth record, so it's the LNAB.
Parents on Clark-7002 are wrong. I am going to remove Ebenezer Clark (a different family entirely) and Jane Dean (Benjamin's second wife) as parents and replace them with Benjamin and Mercy Smith (Benjamin's first wife).
We appear to have an issue with the two daughters "Susanna Clark" one was born in 1674 the other in 1731. I suspect one or both are attached to the wrong parents.
I suspect this is a duplicate of Benjamin Clark-1874, but more research required prior to merging. See notes on that profile.
