Pvt. Joseph Clark served in the U.S. Infantry Division, Connecticut in the War of 1812

Joseph Clark, son of Joseph Clark and Hannah Cole, was born on the 4 Oct 1785 in Connecticut.[1]

He was a blacksmith by trade. A private in the 37th Reg., U.S. Infantry 1814 to 1815. He obtained a land warrant for his services. Lived New York, Pennsylvania and Iowa.

Joseph married first, Clarissa "Clara" Dickinson on the 13 Jun 1812 in Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut.
