Biography

Hermit never married, he had blue eyes and blonde hair, he was a private in Co. "L" 322nd Infantry of the U.S. Army. He received an Honorable Discharge from Camp Rucker Ala. on March 20, 1943. He was inducted into service on Cot. 22, 1942 at Camp Shelby, MS. These records are on file at Calhoun County, Courthouse, Pittsboro, MS Discharge Book 2 page 85. This information was taken from the obituary of Hermit Clark in the MONITOR HERALD, newspaper, Calhoun City, MS.
