You can find recommended profile formats and tips on writing biographies in Styles and Standards.

To describe an event, an heirloom or a location, you can use a Free Space Profile.

Sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. See our process for resolving these situations.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

In order to build one collaborative Tree, it is our goal that every person have one profile. It's important that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.

Options for getting started:

Watch the introductory WikiTree video
Add info - If you will be adding pre-1700's ancestors, please read about Pre-1700 profiles
