Annie Clark was McNeill Clark's first child with his second wife, Eliza. The 1860 census lists her name as "Mary B. Clark" but the Clark Family Bible refers to her as "Annie". Since her mother's middle initial was "A," it is very possible that Mary was called "Annie" after her mother. Sadly, Annie's life was short; she died at the age of eighteen in 1872 just as McNeill was beginning to establish his ranch in Burleson County.
