Henry was born in 1895, the son of Stephen Clark and Annie Bentley.
He married Emily Pickup in 1915.
They had three sons.
When the 1st World War broke out Henry was working at the Patea Meatworks. He enlisted on 12 October 1915 at Trentham. His next of kin was recorded as Mrs H.R. Clark (wife), care of Mrs G. Seymour, Patea, New Zealand. Service No: 25/95
Henry served as a Lance Corporal/Military with the 3rd Battalion, B Company, New Zealand Rifle Brigade, embarking from Wellington on 5 February 1916.
He returned from the War and in the 1919 NZ Electoral Rolls he was recorded at Rutland Street, Patea, Taranaki. Occupation: Labourer
Henry passed away in 1962 at the age of 67 and was cremated on 24 August 1962. His ashes were interred at Waikumete Cemetery, Glen Eden, Auckland on 27 August 1962. Plot: Columbarium Niche Wall West, Row W/C, Plot 312
