Biography
Ulysses Sherman "Lyssey" Clark was born on January 12, 1867 in Dent County, Missouri to Hamblet Clark and Laura Ann Hake Clark. He was the grandson of Henry Miller Hake and Rachel Wortman Hake as well as Jotham Clark and Sarah Ann Hayden Clark.
Ulysses Sherman "Lyssey" Clark married Letitia Lottie Stilwell in April of 1898. Letitia was born on July 25, 1880 near Standing Rock, Shannon County, Missouri. She was the daughter of George Stilwell and Charlotte Rosetta Johnson Stilwell of Charlotte, New York, who are buried in the Miner Cemetery in Dent County, Missouri. Letitia Lottie Stilwell Clark passed away on June 26, 1944 in the family home near Gil, Dent County, Missouri. She is buried in the Union Cemetery in Dent County, Missouri.
