Sarah married William Lovick, an apothecary, at the parish church of St Stephen, Norwich, Norfolk on 5 January 1706/7 when she was 18 years old:

Marryed 1706 Jan: 5 William Lovick and Sarah Clerk marryed ye fifth day of January [1]

Sarah and William had eight children:

Alice born 1709 was the eldest.
John was the second child and eldest son, born June 1711. He died at the age of three and a half in February 1714/5.
Mary born 1713.
Thomas named for his paternal grandfather Thomas Lovick born 1715/6 and died 1718 aged two.

All five sons died in infancy and daughters Alice and Sarah would live into adulthood, but would still predecease both of their parents. Only Mary, the wife of Samuel Cooper survived her parents, and William consequently left his entire estate to Samuel:

"in full confidence that he will take care to provide for his Wife my daughter an ample and sufficient Maintenance and Support should she survive him..." [2]

Sarah died on Monday 31 July 1758 in her 69th year:

Norwich, August 2: On Monday died Mrs. Lovick, wife of William Lovick of this City [3] She was buried at St Stephen's church on 3 August 1758. [4]

When William died in the following year, a fine marble wall memorial to both him and Sarah was erected in St Stephen's church: [5]

To the Memory of a Man
whose Countenance at all Times
expressed Benevolence Blended with Humility
and whose good & charitable Deeds,
though by Himself industriously concealed
were sensibly felt to the Relief and Subsistance of Many.
