Biography
According to the 1880 Census, she was living in Haralson County, Georgia with her parents, Hosea and Margaret Tanner Clay, and two siblings: Emma L. Clay and John Clay. She was 10 years old and was "at home." According to this census, she and her parents were born in Georgia.[1]
