I am Rick Clayton a descendant Of James Clayton James b 1817 in Maine. I believe James and Jacob to be related maybe even one and the same. Also James sold property here in Louisiana to a Carrie Clayton. so I believe there to be a strong possibility that there is some relations.not many Claytons in this area.
