Biography

Derrick was born about 1702 in Bristol Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Peter Cleaver and Catherine Schumacher.[1]

He married Mary Potts on 30 Jun 1725, possibly at Abington Monthly Meeting of Friends in Abington Township, Philadelphia County. In 1726, they removed to the Gwynedd Monthly Meeting about 10 miles northwest of Abington and had at least four children[1]

He died before 26 Feb 1768 in Douglass Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.[3]
