in a frail body, gives to loving wife HANNAH CLEAVER one-third of all the personal estate, together with any grain and meal &etc. that ma be on hand at his death for family consumption. Wife shall have free and peaceable possession of one-third of the plantation whereon he now lives, to include the dwelling, during her life, and at her death, the plantation shall be sold to the best advantage at public or private sale as shall seem most advantageous to the heirs. Asks that all just debts be paid and that JOHN HUSTON reserve 20 pounds at the time the plantation is old [sic] and settle with the rest of the heirs. The remainder of the estate shall be equally divided among his children, BENJAMIN CLEAVER, WILLIAM CLEAVER, STEPHEN CLEAVER, DAVID CLEAVER, JAMES CLEAVER, and HANNAH CLEAVER, except $100.00 that his son James has already received is to be deducted from his share. Appoints son Stephen Cleaver and neighbor MICHAEL CAMPBELL as executors. August 28, 1805. BEN EDWARDS, BURR HARRISON, CYRUS TALBOT and JAMES SMILEY. witnesses. Probated December 14, 1807.
