Emily (Clemens) McCown is a part of US Black heritage.

Emily was born in August 1856 in Ohio. She was the daughter of John Wesley Clemens and Mahala Bass.[1]

In the 1860 census Emily (age 3) was living in German, Darke, Ohio, United States.[1]

In the 1870 census Emily (age 13) was living in German, Darke, Ohio, United States.[2]

When Emily was about 17 she married Lewis W McCown in 1874 at an unknown location.[3]

In the 1880 census Emily (age 23) was living in Palestine, Darke, Ohio, United States.[4]

In the 1900 census Emily (age 43) was living in German, Darke, Ohio.[5]

In the 1920 census Emily (age 63) was living in Liberty, Darke, Ohio.[6]
