Jacob Clemens was the father of Gerhardt Clemens.[1][2]

Research Notes

The birth date listed for Jacob Clemens is merely an estimate based on the birth date of his son Gerhardt.


Went by Jacob "Clemens" or "Clements". Not proven that he was a son of English politician and regicide Gregory Clement, and as of yet no evidence has been found.

His wife was Maria (Mary) Bartholomew.

My understanding is that the connection between Gerhart and an English set of parents as named here has been fairly strongly debunked, though I don't have the source for that handy at the moment.

Clemens-88 and Clements-4012 appear to represent the same person because: Clemens-88's wife is actually a duplicate of Clements-4012's wife and the dates match.
