Biography

Brother Is Seriously Ill

J. E. Rhea of East Church street, Charles Clemmons, of St. Paris, and Grover Clemmons of Mechanicsburg, left Thursday evening for Portsmouth, O., where they were called by the serious illness J. W. Clemmons, who is not expected to live.

Mr. Clemmons is a half brother to Mr. Rhea and the father of Grover and Charles Clemmons.

OBITUARY

JOHN W. CLEMMONS

Death at 11:40 p. m. Saturday claimed John W. Clemmons at his home on Cockrell’s run, near Lucasville. His death resulted from complications. He is survived by his widow and four children; Grover of Mechanicsburg, O., Charles of St. Paris, O., and Mrs. Gordon Artis and Mrs. Clemmons Mayo. He also leaves three brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held in the Scioto church near Lucasville Monday afternoon and were in charge of Rev. John Kemper. Interment was made in Scioto cemetery under direction of Undertaker Ray E. Rhoads of Lucasville.

Brother Dies In Portsmouth; Rites Monday

Funeral services for J. W. Clemmons, of Portsmouth, half brother of Elmer Rhea, this city, were held in Portsmouth Monday afternoon.

The deceased is the father of Grover Clemmons, Mechanicsburg, and C. W. Clemmons of St. Paris. He died at 11:40 p. m. Saturday, a victim of paralysis.

Mr. and Mrs. Rhea and daughter Blanche, attended the services Monday.
