Clemmons "Boonie" Hooper ? abt. 1770-1853 Elizabeth husband Thomas Hooper died and Elizabeth sided with the Tories ( those favoring the British ) Absolom was Yet a boy when the Revolutionary War fighting turned to the Southern Theater, Absolom Hooper ran away from his widowed mother to enlist in the South Carolina Line. Young Hooper was Captured by the British during the siege of Charleston.
