Note: Margaret Clemmons Windley, of Wilmington, NC, died Thursday, December 4, 2003.
She was born June 27, 1912, in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late William J. Clemmons and Margaret C. Clemmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David Frederick Windley; and by two brothers; and two sisters.
Mrs. Windley was a member of St. Paul�s Episcopal Church. She was a member of the Hanover Seaside Club. She taught school in the New Hanover County School System for many years.
She is survived by a son, David Frederick Windley, Jr. and wife Pam; and granddaughter, Leah; her daughter Dr. Margaret Windley Savage; three nieces, Esther Utley, Mary Ellen King and husband John, Ann Busser and husband Glenn; a nephew, Richard L. Player, Jr. and wife Margaret Ann; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2003, at St. Paul�s Episcopal Church by the Rev. Canon Victor Frederiksen, III.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Care Center, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC, 28401.
