George Clevenger was born on October 10, 1714 in New Hanover, Burlington, New Jersey, son of John Good Clevenger (1678–~1746) and Mary Platt (1678–1750).[1]
George (22) married Deliverance Horner (18) (born on December 18, 1718 in Springfield Township, North Hampton, Burlington; daughter of Joshua Horner and Mary Mercy (UNKNOWN) Crawford) on July 19, 1737 in NJ, Burlington Co, New Hanover Township. Their children were:
George died on December 25, 1809 in Frederick, Shenandoah County, Virginia, United States, aged 95. He was buried in Hopewell Friends Burial Ground, Clear Brook, Frederick County, Virginia.[1]
Research Notes
In some secondary sources, he is called George "Burlington" Clevenger--which is a mis-attribution of his county of residence for his middle name.[2]
"Washington" has been removed as the middle name, as there is no evidence to support this, and it seems unlikely that a person born in 1714 would be named after the future president.

Something is not right here. GW Clevenger in this profile is said to have married Mary Platt (her family name is not proven), who actually married John Good Clevenger. Of the two children linked in this profile, Samuel appears to be a duplicate profile for one of John Good Clevenger's children, while the other one (Thomas) was born too late to be a child of Mary Platt. None of the source links in this profile are working. It is unusual that a profile with 3 managers has 0 sources. Can any of the managers help sort this out?
Vince and William ... I'm researching Hankinses but something jumped out at me when I was looking at the parentage of a Hankins wife. What's someone doing naming a person after George Washington in 1676? Doesn't that strike anyone as an anachronism?
