• George Clifford, descended in direct line from the ancient and noble family of Clifford, in England, came, probaby with his wife (Elizabeth?) and son, John (2) from Arnold village and parish, Nottingham co, England to Boston, in 1644; was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery co., moved to Hampton^[1]
