He married Nellie Fitzgerald Davoren on 12 October 1910 at Brunswick.[3]
Francis was a Northwest station manager and prospector. He was a farmer at "Upton Rouse" and "Brunswick Farm", Australind.[3]
The funeral took place yesterday in the Church of England portion of Australind cemetery, of Mr. Francis Bingham Clifton, one of the oldest pioneer settlers of the district, whose ancestors have been connected with Australind since the founding of the settlement. Mr. Clifton's death took place on Wednesday, at the age of 80 years.
He leaves one son, Bingham Young, who is now in the R.A.A.F., and a married daughter, Mrs. Adams, of Bridgetown. Father Fryer conducted the last rites. A fuller report will appear in the next issue.[4]
