Biography

Valentine Cline, the father of Martin Cline, moved from Pennsylvania to Lincoln County, North Carolina, where he married Anna Gertrout Cansler, daughter of Philip W. Gentzler and Juliana Wintermyer, about 1780. Their children are established by the probate of the estate of Valentine Cline which was settled in 1808, and the will of Gertrude Cline in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Julianna is the 3rd listed of 10 children. [1]
