Born Dec. 9, 1917, at Baisden, he was the son of the late Anderson and Laura Davis Cline.
Mr. Cline was a retired coal miner and a member of the Little Cub Creek Memorial Baptist Church at North Spring and the UMWA.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Sadie Lester, Lizzie Lester, Artie Lester, Ellie Meade and Ernie Cline; and one brother, Tommy Cline.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Cline of North Springs; one son, Bennie Cline and his wife, Linda, of Ocala, Fla.; three daughters, Loeda Jackson and her husband, Gleason, of Charlotte, N.C., Linda Schiphof and her husband, Don, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Lorraine Green and her husband, Sid, of Pineville; six grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Cline of North Springs and Jay Cline of Gilbert; and two sisters, Merlie Thomas of North Spring and Alma Testerman of Bluewell.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, with the Rev. Donald "Dock" Adkins and the Rev. Ronnie Lester. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Chris Schiphof, Paul Cline, Mike Basham, Gelenious Cline, Ronald Fortner and Ronnie Dean Fortnerwill serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements by Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert.
