Biography

When Mary Polly Cline was born on October 16, 1790, in Lincoln, North Carolina, her father, Valentine, was 36, and her mother, Maria, was 28. She married Seth Abernathy on February 12, 1803, in her hometown. They had nine children in 18 years. She died on April 28, 1864, in Maiden, North Carolina, at the age of 73, and was buried there.
