Biography
A previous version of this profile claimed he was born in Salisbury, Massachusetts on 30 Sept 1662, son of John Clough and Jane Unknown. But there is no such birth recorded in the Salisbury vital records.[1]
Similarly, there is no 1739 death in Salisbury of a Benjamin Clough.[2]
