Biography

William Clough was born in Steeton, Yorkshire, England.

William was born in Steeton, Yorkshire, England, in 1863. He was the son of Thomas Clough and Hannah Dawson. He was enumerated in the 1871 and 1881 census residing with his family in Steeton. In 1881 he stated he was eighteen, single, and a Worsted Manufacturers Son.

William married Louisa Clapham in 1886. They appeared in the 1891 census residing at 23 Whitley Head, Steeton with Eastburn, with wife Louisa and children William and Mary. His occupation "Worsted Manufacturer".

William passed away in Keighley on May 11, 1937. His Probate was administered on August 24, 1937, in London naming widow Louisa and children Mary and William.
