Dec 1 1815; m. Mary Elizabeth Gibson on Sept. 21 1856. Was a farmer who owned 40 acres of land in Gypsum (Plainsville) in the Town of Phelps, Ontarion Cout. They had eith children -- Catherine Seaman, Elisha Warren II, Cullen Rogers, Anna Johnson, Charlotte Christler, Gertrude U., Frank Eliot, and Amelia. Mary Elizabeth . Nov. 16, 1885 in Manchester, N.Y. and Rensselaer died May 25, 1895 in Lyons, NY. Both are buried in the Cobb plot in the Palmyra Cemetery. ================================ From Geneva Gazette 28 January 1881 The following is a list of the grand and trial jurors drawn at the County Clerk's office in the village of Canandaigua on Wednesday, January 26th to serve at a Circuit Court and Court of Oyer and Terminer, to be held at Canandaigua, beginning on Monday, February 14, 1881, at 10 o'clock a. m.: Trial Juror: Rensselaer W. Cobb - Manchester ================================= from newspaper "Rochester Democrat & Chronicle," May 27, 1895 Rensselaer W. Cobb died Saturday at the home of his daughter Mrs. Gertrude Pickett in Lyons. Deceased was born near Stafford, Genesee county, December 1st, 1815, and at an early age removed with his parents to Palmyra, where he was married and lived for several years. For the past year he had been living with his daughter in Lyons. Death was caused by congestion of the brain. Two sons, Cullen R. Cobb, of Clifton Springs, Frank Cobb, of Victor, and five daughters, Mrs. Charles S. Pickett, of Lyons; Mrs. D.S. Thompson, of Clifton Springs; Mrs. G. Hpperts, of Idaho City, Idaho; Mrs. C. R. Crocker, of Victor and Mrs. C.H. Aldrich, of Newburg are left surviving.
