Thomas was born in South Australia, the son of James Cobbledick and Lucy Brann. In the civil registration, his birthplace/residence is recorded as Mt Lofty.^[1]

COBBLEDICK. —On the 26th of July, at Martin avenue, Plympton, Thomas Brann, dearly beloved husband of Sophia Cobbledick, late of Maitland, in his 92nd year. ^[5]

He was buried at Centennial Park with Sophia. In November 1998, Walter and Helen Harris joined them.^[6]
