(In many parishes at this time, baptisms marriages and burials appear to have been recorded in the same book using sections in the book, however any spare blank pages were often utilised later when either section was full by inverting the book and recording inverted on the spare pages. Interestingly Humphrey's sister Mary was recorded for both birth and death on the same date, this could have been a true event or this could in both cases be extra book utilization; however in consideration of the date and extreme pressures in religious matters they could also be an attempt to hide a Catholic baptism, the Cockaynes were predominantly a Catholic family)
