Biography

When Elizabeth Jane Cockayne was born in October 1831 in Moundsville, West Virginia, her father, Bennet Cockayne, was 26, and her mother, Sarah Price, was 22. She married Robinson Keyser on November 27, 1849, in Webster, West Virginia. They had 13 children in 17 years. She died on September 27, 1919, in District of Columbia having lived a long life of 87 years, and was buried in Washington, District of Columbia.
