Biography

Eva (Cockrum) Barclay was a Missourian.

Eva May Cockrum was born on 20 January 1866 in Knox County, Missouri, daughter of George Alexander Cockrum (1848–~1918) and Rhoda McCoy (1844–1909).[1][2]

Eva (21) married Francis Arthur Barclay (20) on 7 August 1887 in Knox County, Missouri. Their children were:

  1. Lena Belle Barclay (1888–1980)
  2. Phoebe Emmaline Barclay (1889–1985)
  3. Sylvia Letitia Barclay (1891–1979)
  4. Ira Francis Barclay (1894–1918)
  5. Ann Vallier Barclay (1899–2005)[3][4][5][6]

She died from arteriosclerosis on 30 July 1959 in Knox County, aged 93.[7] She is buried in Novelty Cemetery in Knox County, Missouri.[8]
