Melvina Cockrum was born on 1 January 1830 in Marion, Missouri, United States, daughter of James C. Cockrum (1802–1881) and Mary Hunsaker (~1805–<1845).[1]
Melvina died about 1900 in Salem, Fulton, Arkansas, United States, aged about 69. She was buried in Flint Springs Cemetery, Fulton County, Arkansas.[1]

One would assume that Melvina Cockrum Ford died in Fulton Co., Ark.,as she and William are on the 1860-1900 census there together, but inlooking thru the Fulton Co., Ark., Cem., book compiled by the Extensioncouncil, I find no listing for either Melvinia or William. MaryStuart April 7, 2006
