Jonathan Coffin was born on August 28, 1692 in Nantucket, Nantucket, Province of Massachusetts Bay, son of James Coffin (1640–1720) and Mary Severance (1645–1720).
Jonathan died on February 5, 1773 in Nantucket, aged 80.
