Dorothy June Atkinson was born on 12 Oct 1916 in Natrona Heights, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States, daughter of Wesley L Atkinson (1886–1918) and Elsie Dorothy Kammerer (1889–1946).^[1]

Her siblings were:

1. Wesley Lynn Atkinson (1908–1970)
2. Clair Eugene Atkinson (1909–1980)
3. John D. Atkinson (1912–2003)
4. George Blair Atkinson (1914–1984)

Records from 1930 show that she and her four brothers are living with their aunt. The family home is in Brackenridge, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.^[2]

She (29) married Charles Harland Coffman (31) in 1946.^[3]

In 1950, she was living with Charles, two daughters and one of her brothers in Tarentum, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.^[4]

Dorothy passed away on 12 Feb 1999 in Mt. Lebanon, Allegheny, aged 82. She was buried in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. ^[1]
