Biography

Lucelia Jane Coger and Charles D. Saxton were married in Ottawa County, Ohio by William Caldwell, Justice of the Peace, on December 25, 1872. The license was issued on December 23.

In 1880, the couple were living in Elmore, Ottawa County, Ohio. The extract of that census at familysearch.org has the surname indexed as “Seston”. Charles was a mill laborer born in Ohio with both parents born in New York. Lucelia is listed as born in Ohio with both parents born in Pennsylvania. With Lucelia and Charles were their children Mary age 6 and Ida age 1.

Charles died in 1885, and Lucelia Jane Conger and Albert Ingraham were married on July 29, 1892 by a Justice of the Peace in Lucas County, Ohio.

Lucelia died of pneumonia, a widow in Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio on January 11, 1919. Her birth place is listed as Elmore, Ohio and her parents as Samuel Coger and Laura Stewart. Her obituary in the Perrysburg Journal dated January 16, 1919, states ...

Mrs Ingram Passes Away
Mrs. Lucelia Jane Ingram was born April 11, 1857, in Elmore, Ohio, and died in her home in Perrysburg, Saturday, January 11,1919, at 9:00 am.
She was united in marriage to Charles Saxton in the year 1871 and to them were born three children, Mrs. Myron Beal of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Wm. Parker of Toledo, and Burton Saxton a soldier now in France. Mr. Saxton preceeded her to the grave in 1885 and later she was married to Elbert Ingram, and unto them were born two children, Louis Ingram of Perrysburg and Mrs. Floyd Burton of Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Ingram also preceeded her to the grave February 22, 1913.
Besides her children she leaves a number of grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives to mourn her death.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 13, 1919 at 2pm, Rev. C W Weltmer officiating. Internment at Ft. Meigs Cemetery.
