Joseph Coit was born about 1711 in Plainfield, Connecticut. He was the son of Joseph Coit and Experience Wheeler. He was their third child.
He married Mary Spaulding about 1736 and they had two daughters both born in Preston, Connecticut:
Elizabeth Coit, b. 1736
Mary Coit, b. 1739
He died on 21 July 1741 in Griswold, Connecticut at age 29. [1] He is buried in Pachaug Cemetery in Griswold, Connecticut. [2]
