Biography
This biography is a rough draft. It was auto-generated by a GEDCOM import and needs to be edited.
Ann Coker has been detached as daughter of Capt John Corker and his wife for lack of documentation. She should not be reattached absent primary source documentation and consultation with Project Virginia.

Coker-691 and Coker-381 appear to represent the same person because: These were both inaccurately listed as children of John Corker suggesting that despite the difference in birth data, they were intended to represent the same person.
I was never certain who the various "Coker" children attached to the Corker family were meant to be. There were perhaps four Coker children, as I recall. I seem to recall one of them was attached downstream to a North Carolina family. At the time I thought Coker had been attached to Corker merely due to similarity of name and a belief the Coker family might have come from Virginia. I also wondered about the confusion of Surry, North Carolina and Surry, Virginia although Surry, NC was not chartered until 1770 and these profiles date 130-150 years prior. Do you want me to go back and investigate the 'detachees' further? Happy to do so. Might be good to see if Pip wanted in on that as well.
I wondered about the same things, T. Thanks for adding more details about when certain counties in North Carolina were started. I'm not sure how much of a priority to make these. It kinda bugs me that there are these unattached profiles floating around WikiTree, but there are so many other priorities...
I'll leave it to you and Pip to decide how important it is.
