Rebecka Colby was born at Salisbury on 11 : 1m : 1643,^[1] that is 11 March 1643/4 (the new year started then on 25 March). Salisbury at that time was part of Norfolk County in the Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[2]

Rebecka was the daughter of Anthony Colby^[1] and his wife, Susannah.
