Biography

Hiram Coldwell was born March 14, 1811[1], the son of John Coldwell and Eliphel Bishop of Gaspereau, Nova Scotia

Circa 1829 he married Agnes Benjamin, daughter of Jacob Benjamin and Salome Cleveland, also of Gaspereau[1]. Their children include:

  1. Amanella (Coldwell) Thompson, born 1841, who married Hugh Thompson[2]
  2. Cyrus Coldwell, born 1838[3] [4]
  3. Mary (Coldwell) Eldridge, who was born circa 1841, and who married James Eldridge[5]
  4. Nancy (Coldwell) Crawford, born circa 1831[1], who married George Crawford
  5. Henry William Coldwell, born May 7 1835, who married Margaret Foster[6]
  6. Obed D Coldwell, born May 20 1839[1], who married Annie Chute[7].

Hiram Coldwell died October 11, 1882.
