Biography

Henry William Coldwell was born in May 1835[1], the son of Hiram Coldwell and Agnes Benjamin of Gaspereau, NS.

On December 24, 1863, he married Margaret Foster[2], and they had children[1] [3], including:

  1. Elizabeth, born August 22, 1864[1] [3], who died in 1951[4]
  2. Thomas Edmund, born June 30 1867[1] [3], who died in 1943[5]
  3. Ellsworth, born October 16, 1868[1] [3], who died in 1942[6]
  4. Ernest Herbert, born December 3, 1872[7], who married Ethel Marie Coldwell, daughter of Hiram Coldwell and Jessie Forsyth[8]
  5. Henry Ralph "Harry", born November 16, 1874[9] [1] [3]
  6. William Alden, born August 5, 1876[10]
  7. Clara, born August 13, 1879[1] [3]
  8. John, born April 28, 1885[1], who married Erma Skaling[11], and who died in 1957[12]
